With over 15 years of experience in the Australian thoroughbred racing industry, Ash Dowley has worked across every stage of a horse’s life — from foaling down to feature-race success. Her journey began with formal studies in Equine Science, followed by hands-on roles over a 4.5 year period with world-renowned Darley Australia, and culminated in over a decade in a senior bloodstock and racing management role with one of Australia’s leading Group 1-winning syndicators First Light Racing. During this time, she also played a key advisory role in the onboarding of new breeding investors Aristia Park by elevating the quality of their bloodstock breeding portfolios through trusted, long-term partnerships, strategic mating advice, sale placements and acquisitions.

Now leading Ash Dowley Bloodstock Consultancy, Ash offers independent, high-integrity consultancy services to trainers, breeders, owners, and industry professionals.

The consultancy's core focus lies in horse selection, auction representation, and bloodstock management — underpinned by Ash’s astute eye for a thoroughbred, developed through years of experience assessing yearlings, weanlings, broodmares, and horses in training. Her proven judgement has led to the successful selection of a multitude of winners including standout performers such as Abounding (G2 winner, G1 placed & Listed Magic Millions Guineas winner), The Instructor (3× Stakes winner) and Pharari (city winner, 2× Stakes-placed), to only name a few.

Ash also brings a unique capability in strategic marketing, owner share sales and syndication consultancy, having contributed to successful marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement strategies throughout her career.
